Nope. We missed celebrating my sister's birthday way back in June, so we had a combined cake. My cousin was on it too, but since she wasn't there it kinda defeated the purpose. I blew out a grand total of two of my candles. I was
so dissapointed... but then I got to go out in the back yard and blow things up, so it's all good. [pyromaniacal grin]
And yeah, I did have fun on the sixth, for my actual birthday, too. I didn't get my learner's permit (to drive); but we went to see
Transformers, went out to dinner, then went home for presents. I got three books (Axis of Time trilogy book 1, by Somebody- Birmingham; the alternate history
1945, by Robert Conroy; and the Alex Rider book I asked for because I couldn't think of anything else,
Scorpia), I got a Maryland flag (we actually didn't have one. The one we had long ago vanished somewhere), and I got, for some reason, a razor. Probably because I have enough peach fuzz for it to be annoying, but not enough to qualify as a beard or moustache.
Oh, and yesterday morning I got the traditional (for my family's birthdays) dozen donuts, balloon or two; and in a nice extra six liters (three bottles) of Mountain Dew, four Reese's Cups, a bunch of little blueberry muffins which my dad promptly proceeded to eat half of before I got any, and for some reason a stick of deodorant.
And thanks again for all the "Happy Birthdays". Have some e-cake and ece cream.
PS And yeah, on the time differences... I'm not sure. At the bottom of the page it says "All times are GMT -4. The time now is 12:13 PM." GMT is Greenwich Mean Time (right?) so I guess that Eastern Standard Time (EST, which I'm on) is four hours ahead of GMT. Wait... no, four hours behind. Sorry. Doesn't matter, though. I originally celebrated my birthday on the 4th, anyway, even though I didn't get most of my presents till the 6th.
PPS Oh, and that cake up there better be vanilla to go with that chocolate icing!
