I lost that quest the first time because the Kraken killed Scarlet Robe. That was in the original fable maybe it's changed in TLC. Either way just move to the right a bit and the Kraken will leave your mom alone. If you have Physical Shield turn it on and keep it maxed with will potions. Otherwise heal after each time the Kraken attacks (Life Potion, Heal Spell, Drain Life, Food) take your pic. Draw your bow take out the tentacles then the head. There are two rounds of this.

As long as you have heal...there isnt a problem with escorting most peoples. *remembers the nasty Hobbe cave quest*...too nasty to dwell on.

I think the Kraken was one of the harder bosses for all melee characters...

what I usually do is get my mellee weapon when it's about to hit roll out the way use multi strike and it should be dead... (the tentacle)

Yeah thats what I do too. No Kraken is strong enough to beat for my righteous beams of light

lol if i could go back to that lvl now that i beats the game i could probly kill it with my fists and magic or just magic
