In one of the early quests, one has to elude 3 pirates who, if they see you, call to their comrades to close the gate. My character is ALWAYS seen. I would appreciate any or all hints as to how to get through the gate?

Kill them all, once their gone, hide behind a large rock that is by a fence directly in front of the gate but down the path a ways (it has some barrels by it). Let some time pass and the gate will open and 3 new bandits will walk out. Stay hidden and let them pass, once 2 are far a way and the third has walked as far away as he will go and has his back turned, sneak out and make a run for the gate. If you took the boast not to kill any bandits, this will cause you to fail that boast. But screw it, its basicly the only way unless your really good at sneaking.

Never take the boast to not kill any bandits, its basicly impossible to fulfill as once your past the gate, the next area will force you into combat with tons of hostile bandits. There is no sneaking past them and you also have to collect some items here. Take the boast to kill at least 24 bandits instead, because if you kill all the bandits in this area (its pretty hard to miss any) you will compleate it.

Cast Slowtime spell. It helps a lot. Or use a powerful bow to shoot them down one by one from the beginning.

I survived and collected the whole bandit outfit without killing anyone of them by using Turncoat and Slowtime. One of my Heroes is a pacifist.

Or you kill them one by one whilst they're far apart. Thats how I do it, anyway. Your bow is your friend.
