How much gold in total has Avo fleeced off you/How many hapless villagers have you sacrificed to Skorm?

Which makes me wonder... If Avo and Skorm are false gods, as the Oracle states, how do they get those funny voices? Are the acolytes at those temples just really good ventriloquists?
