It very well could have been that game, but to just say "Yeah, thats how and why he did it." without putting any thought into it is stupid.

Much like saying DOOM (in which you cannot aim up or down) was/is a good training tool for psychos.

I dunno if you have it in America.

I think we have some programs like that. I know we have the ROTC, but they dont train you with fire arms, only amy training and etiquite, at least were I live. . . or was it air force. But a program like that would be a much more effective training tool than any game Ive played, though Im not a huge shooter fan so I havent played that many.

Yeah well according to this game hater Chu trained almost SWAT-like maneuvers in CS - redicilous.

Exactly, it is ridiculous. If it was that simple, law enforcement agencies would use them as a tool, or use them more often. The only real reason Chu was so successful, was because he took months to plan, did not fear the consequences, and everyone at the school paniced. All those combined makes for a very successful tragedy.

I agree, I mean technically he had his life to loose, but people like him just dont think that way I guess. I really think people are starting to exploit this tragedy to meet their own agendas. . .its sad really.

What I meant by the CCF post was that - well to my knowledge - there hasn't been any school shootings in Britain...

I knew what you meant, I just meant that it would probably be better training than a game. . . but ive never gone through it to compare or tried to put what I learn and see in games into practice. Though the strict dicipline you learn from progams such as that, would keep one from doing somthing like Virginia Tech massacre.

Why don't insane people just kill themselves? It would be so much simpler.

Cause they blame everyone else first, themselves last. Well, the type Chu was anyway.

Well, obivously he didn't value his life, so you could say he had nothing to lose in the sense that he had nothing left to lose that was worth something to him.

Some do, slit their wrists and all. But the other ones are angry at other people, groups of people. In this case, Chu supposedly hate this classmates for being rich.

Re: Jack Thompson Blames Violent Games For Mass Killing
I think we should have stricter gun laws. Not take them away, because then as one of the members said, we would have a HUGE problem on our hands. Stricter gun laws would help a little bit. Also raising the age limit. I think another member said that to. Pawn shops should have very detailed background checks. Anyway they said that in virginia it takes, what ten minutes to buy a gun? Thats horribly wrong. I agree with FableFreak more than Tsuyu, but Tsuyu made some very good points.
Anyway, I have a bit of advice. I follow it too.

We've got two really quiet guys in my class - and I mean quiet. They don't say anything. Not even when the teachers ask them something. At most I've heard one of them said, no whisper a silent "No..." to a teacher when asked if he needed help
*shrugs*
This is where I thank Satan that those two can't possible be packing some serious firepower. True, they might carry knifes/some other crap, but without firearms 'school shootings' can't happen.
