January 2007 Release Date

I have seen a couple of references to 1/1/2007 or 12/31/2006
GameStats: Fable 2
XBOX 360 Fable 2 (Pre-order)
Fable 2 - Xbox 360

However, The lateset Milestone references milestones in January an February.

It could also be that those sites were just putting in placeholder dates due to not having one. Again I hope I'm wrong.

I doubt it will be that soon. They haven't given out enough publicity for Fable 2 yet. Hype is how they sell the product. When they get people crapping themselves about Fable 2 then they will sell it. I heard Peter Molyneaux got 2 or 3 death threats after he made Fable because people were angry about the features they left out so I don't think they'll make that mistake again.

Why do you think those site are showing 1/1/2007 (or ther abouts) as the availability date?

Probably just a speculated date. On Amazon.com.uk it said MARCH 30, 2007 so you can see its mixed.

Im another thats very skeptical about a Jan 1st release date, for one most companies like to avoid that date for release as people have their minds on other things and its abit close to after christmas (when everyone has just had alot of new games). Plus there hasnt been enough info to fuel any 'real' hype for it yet unless they go on an information rampage!

Hey this is open for pre-order Hmmmm. This seams a more likely date. It could also coincide with a console upgrade/price drop to compete with the PS3 which should have its production up to much better levels.

Im always abit tentative towards Amazons release dates as they are known for wild guesses at them. I mean they have release dates for books that havent even been written yet...

Guy on the radio here was talking about it, they had a release date for his book he hadnt even finished and also how many pages it was going to be.... which he said he didnt even know at the time....

I guess it depends on the book/movie/game and the quality of the project plan weather you can determine a completion date. If you are trying to do something that hasn't been done (Fable) it is exceedingly difficult to predict. The more common the project the easier to predict
