Lady Grey's giggling bug.

I have just gotten the PC version of TLC, and had just married Lady Grey (I've played the original Fable on the Xbox enough to know it inside and out). No matter how much I emote to her, give her gifts, display trophies, or whatnot... she giggles. I've even reloaded, and she still giggles (albeit a different giggle upon a reload... i.e. if her first giggle was "hee hee hee", it would continue to be the same giggle every time I spoke to her... however if I quit and reload, it would be "ah-hah hah hah" until I quit, reloaded, and talked to her again, at which point, would change again).

Unlike the Xbox version, whereas I would at least get a sentence showing either her interest or disinterest in me, here, she refuses to say any words. I am able to turn her green, however... but if I attempt to speak to her then, the ring icon goes semi-transparent, she says nothing, turns away, the ring is opaque again, and then she goes about her business. And even as such, she will not say anything at all; her idle speech routines are not triggered either.

I have attempted to look through various forums, gaming sites, and Yahoo! in general, and can find no real help for this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Tried wearing differen't clothing? Or was that part of the "whatnot" ?

If I remember correctly she laughs at you if you're not scary enough. So like §ephiroxa§ said try some different clothes. Or maybe some scary tattoos

I have tried everything but beating the living daylights out of her. Somehow, her ability to talk is not getting triggered. I mean, in the Xbox version, if I recall correctly, if I'm not within "aggro" range (if you'll pardon the MMO term), as she walks around, occasionally she'll have something to say to someone, sing, and do other such idle spoken actions. She's not even doing *that* in TLC for me.

Edit: as for "not being scary enough"... trying that... will update this post afterward.

Edit 2 : *sigh* Welp, something just occured to me. I had never finished the quest to get her necklace.... I ended up marrying her anyways, by giving her the letter from the cellar, and defeating Thunder. So, after that, all she does is... well... giggle.

But! I noticed that getting as scary as possible causes her to bounce between two emotes ("hee hee hee" and "oooh").

Edit 3 : Even after beating the daylights out of her, she shakes her fist at me, and still makes no sound. Though... I wonder... the guard says "The Mayor seems strangely subdued lately. What did you say to her?". Kind of makes me wonder if that's all she *can* do, like, out of fear of reprisal...

In any case, thanks for the help, and pointing me in the right direction.

If that doesn't work it might be your reknown though that is less likely after having beat the arena

That's an interesting problem. I didn't even know you could continue the lady gray quest without giving her the necklace.

Welp... it's still in my inventory... and I can't give it to anyone... it provokes no response in anyone when I try to do so.
