Can't say I agree with Arthur C Clarke being on there though...sure, he's got a brilliant mind but that is precisely what excludes many from being able to comprehend the sheer complexity of some of his writings. Plus one or two other issues I have with the man...

And Clarke actually wasn't on there, until I realized I had all the big three but him. And I've enjoyed all his books to one extent or another, though not as much as Heinlein and Asimov. What's your issues with him? Well, what WERE your issues with him, I should say. He's dead.

My issues are more on the religion scale (which I will not go into) - put it this way, I lost all respect for him as a writer when I read some of the nonsense he was spouting at the end of one of his books (I forget which one it was...) Not that it really matters, as he is dead, but I hope for his sake he was right. Otherwise he's probably feeling pretty stupid by now

And yes, I do remember what religious stuff you're talking about (vaguely), but you DO realize that in fiction what happens isn't neccesarily what the author believes, right? Though yeah, from Childhood's End I'm pretty sure he was an atheist.

Nah, his fiction is of course fiction but he was a very outspoken anti-Christian man without any of the intelligence I had come to expect from him in his comments or arguments. His work is great (albeit sometimes incredibly complex) but the way he spoke of certain people and beliefs was very off-putting. But there ya go.
