Over the past few years, the Muslim extremists have gotten away with a whole heap of stuff for example;
.Jailed a teacher for naming a bear Mohamed , funny what was the judges (think it was judges) name in court MOHAMED! can name your kin after the prophet but not a cuddly bear ... Oh deary me.

The taliban blew up a sacred Buddhist monument and they didn't retaliate and demand death, no they took it and moved on, well done Buddhists, you have a better sense of judgment than most.

I think perhaps understanding that we tend to tolerate more stuff than others around the world is key here. In the UK you can take the mick out of pretty much everything and reduce any religion to the stuff comedies are made of...like we do with Jehovah's Witnesses and Jews with their approach to money, for two examples. No one really gets upset and it's never meant as an affront to the religion or those who follow it, on the whole.

However, in other parts of the world things work differently - we might not agree with the way they do things and yes, it seems very extreme and I'm not condoning what's going on, but there is often more to it than the mere naming of a teddy bear - there's the insinuation that Islam is somehow being disrespected by reducing their Prophet to a mere child's plaything when to the Muslims he is so much more than that.

What we see as a gross overreaction, others will see as a just course of action.

On topic That kind of mentality I can't fully understand. I guess if you dedicate your life to a cause you get kind of upset when someone disrespects it.

It's sort of the way some people in the states feel about the american flag. It's just a flag but if you disrespect it some people get really mad. Do they take the national flag as seriously in England, Canada or Sweden or if any other countries?

The funny thing is, that in Australia, we see it as unaustrailan to be patriotic enough to care when someone burns the flag... I mean, we're proud of our country and that... But its just a flag
