Valve's Doug Lombardi has recently announced that we should expect a Left 4 Dead DLC announcement before the end of the summer for both PC and 360.

He also explained why Valve refuse to bring Left 4 Dead to the PS3.

"We've kind of learned a lesson in that again, if we were customers of that product on PlayStation, we'd feel like we sort of got the stepchild version of the product while the guys on the PC and the 360 got the sweet version of it."

Its Valve not Steam, Steam is the digital distribution, digital rights management & multiplayer and communications platform developed by them for PC. They only 'pushed back' their episodic content for Half Life 2 from what ive seen so far.

I hope they make Episode 3 sooooon!!!!!! And I cannot wait for the new DLC, I don't really like the way L4D 2 is looking so far so I would like more DLCs, even if they cost.

To me L4D2 looks like L4D 1 but with more content and some levels in daylight settings and more enemies so i dont see how it can be worse. I am glad to hear that they are going to be including more DLC for L4D though, might shut up the people who have been signing petitions against L4D2. Need some more friends to buy L4D as ive barely played any proper co-op on it.

The main problems I see, is that the characters seem much more, uninteresting compared to L4D, there will also be more focus on melee (Less ammo), which melee in L4D was already rather strong but very unreliable on let's say a tank or boomer.

I wasnt all that interested in most characters in L4D, they were merely character shells that had cosmetic differences and voices. We havent seen the end result for the characters of L4D2 yet or the final drafts but the ones in L4D were stereotypical survival horror ones that i didnt have much interest in over all.

Melee was 'useful' but not for any of the 'boss' type characters for obvious reasons. Im sure this will remain the same for L4D2 except maybe for things like the chainsaw they will be more effective than butting something with a weapon.

I just don't like L4D 2 because so far, even with a new DLC coming, it still feels like I am cheated, I spent $60 so that 2 months after I bought it, they could announce a bigger badder better version for the same price... And call me racist, but I find white women (Zoey) hotter than black women (New chick)

It was announced to be released pretty quickly but you dont have to buy L4D2 so soon if they release the content they are talking about for L4D. Not as if they are removing content from a game you already own so they arent taking away anything from you for your $60. The hotness issue is merely a cosmetic preference and i dont think id care about that if something was trying to chew my face off (unless it was one of them).

I Love LFD and am happy to play it any day of the week; co-op is Very Cool; in Missions and Survival; and I would Certainly play it with you
