The spotlight was used to get to know the members more and get an insight into the real people behind the usernames. It was done on a weekly basis to get to know as many of the members as we could. Having an award handed out every week would sort of make it feel less important as after a short time a lot of members would have won it. If it is one a month obviously only 12 members a year can win the award and guess that would make it look like a bigger accomplishment if you will.

We should implement this, similar to the King of Donuts badge. Seriously.

I reckon we should definitely bring back the Weekly Spotlight! It was great but it stopped and I want it back!

Guess if we could find a suitable member with the right attitude and flare for it that it once had to bring it back and resurrect it then i dont see why not. I was a big fan of the feature to be honest and really enjoyed hearing more about the members. Think the staff should have a discussion about it and see what we could do to bring it back.

It would be hard to recreate what it was. I think if it is brought back then maybe call it something else or have it in a different form like Twenty Questions with [FILL IN MEMBER NAME HERE]. We could start off by making a thread to come up with a really good set of open ended questions to ask the members each week/month.

Or maybe do 20 standard questions (or whatever number) with one extra one at the end which is made by the members in this once a month week you speak of. The more I think about it the more I like it!

If we used that idea you wouldnt even need substitute, the moderators would just need to pick someone.

I don't like the 20 Questions idea. Surely they could just ask 20 questions in a
Ask Anyone 'Anything' esque thread. The previous idea was good, and I reckon you shouldn't change it, just get a good replacement.

I'm not sure about the badges idea. It could cause a lot of arguements, and controversy. I saw it happen at Lionhead. A lot of people who should have got badges did'nt, and a lot that should'nt have did. Lots of arguing. Unless there is a way to be fair.
