The Lost Chapters Windows Vista Update

After the ever growing number of people having issues with running Fable: The Lost Chapters on Windows Vista i thought i would make a sticky with some useful links in it and a link to the update (thanks to Todd for reminding me).

In march 2007 a Vista update was released to fix issues such as:

• The game, the application, or the firmware may not be installed correctly.
  
• The game, the application, or the firmware may cause system instability.
  
• The primary functions of the game, the application, or the firmware may not work correctly.

Before updating Vista please create a restore point incase anything goes wrong (thanks again to Todd for idea).

Open System Restore by clicking the Start button clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking System Tools, and then clicking System Restore.* If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Hi, newbie here, I did the Vista compatability update and after the download it started to instal and then a message popped up saying this update did not apply to my system. If I can get it done here are my stats: Intel Core 2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13 GHZ 2 gig ram 32bit operating system Please forgive me for all the information to follow, I didn't know what you would need. Yeah, same here, I got the same message saying that the update does not apply to my system... what is with that?! I have vista ultimate 64 bit, and yeah, I downloaded the vista 64 bit update, and it doesn't want to now?

i bought the origionally game fable : the lost chapters but it won't install the menu come in the beginning and when i install he ask for the second disk i put the disk in it but nothing happens and he trow my disk out of my computer can some of u guys help me?

Instead of trying to let it Auto Run you tried Manually asking your computer to read the disc?

the problem is your sound card

all sund blaster sounds cards dont work with fable tlc in vista update drivers dont work had the same problem till i remove my sb sound card and fable runs good. i use on board sound vista ultimte
