Re: Lost Odyssey- What do you think of the game?
I think I just cannot get on with the JRPG combat system. In FF it bugged the hell out of me too and I really really detest piffling about with levelling up just so I can get to the next part of the game.
Jansen makes me laugh though - I have to say that

I really like Jenson and hope, I don't have to kill him. Is'nt he going to end up trying to kill the hero? I don't mind spoilers.

Im not going to spoil anything at all because its a very story/plot driven game and its the emotion you feel for the characters that makes it so good & the surprises. Ive really got to get back into playing it again, curse you GTA IV!
Also new DLC out for it:

I don't play online or download things, is that why I'm having such a hard time?

Re: Lost Odyssey- What do you think of the game?
No not at all - it's not an online game and any downloadable content just adds extra stuff into the game, it doesn't affect whether you are able to complete it or not. It's a case of levelling up as much as you can with the minor skirmishes before you get to the boss fights and then being a little more strategic in how you deal with the bigger enemies so that you don't have to keep going over the same stuff again and again.
It will just take a while, I suppose...

I guess , I get it it, in other words it's a very hard game, and I'm not sure I have the skill for this particular type of game, cause I leveled up to 14 like they said and I'm still failing. That's nobodies fault but my own. I'm very used to free roam. Maybe, one day I'll have the patience.
Thanks, everyone for all your help and suggestions. I really do appreciate it. Better play something else for awhile before I break it.

I finally beat that flying monster, but now I'm having trouble, beating the snake, and those crab like monsters, right by that magic staff.
Any suggestions, on how to beat him? He keeps paralizing me.

Try seeing if any items you have can stop the paralysis and equipping those. Is it the one that uses the bugs to charge a big attack up?

Yeah, I remember the monster well. You need to find & equip an item called Yellow Bracelet, and equip it to Jansen. The item is in one of the charging staffs at the beach.. those rusty brown staffs that charge electricity to them (on & off)... Just wait for it to stop charging, and then run up to it and press the "A" button. Be sure to have Kaim and Seth skill linking the skill off of Jansen once you obtain the bracelet... the more allies that know the skill, the better.

Can you tell me where to get the items, to stop being paralized?
The snake keeps getting magic power from those crab eyes, and they keep coming back after I've killed them. It makes me so mad, to get so close, and yet so far away. I really appreciate, any help I can get.

Unfortunately, they're just the tip of the iceberg.. Once you defeat the first snake, a second one comes (fully charged). But it's not all bad.
Strategy: Keep the little bug numbers down to a minimum by killing them every good chance you get (the lesser bugs there are, the longer it takes for the snake to charge).. have Kaim & Seth focus on the little bugs, and have Jansen focus magic spells (occasionally) on the giant snake. They'll be gone easy, apply the same strategy for the second snake that comes in. Remember to keep healing when you have a good chance. As far as I can tell you, this will be the last 'toughest' battle in the game, the later boss battles are manageable, until you get much farther in the game.. but by that time, your characters will already be alot more powerful.

Scotts said the best technique to take down the boss really. You can get the Yellow Band in a chest before the battle on the beach part or the first Magic rod on the area past the Ship Wreck. Also at Grand Staffs construction base i think.

NOOO, not another snake, and fully charged. Where can I get anti-paralizing, stuff? I was killed 4 times, and it sure gets old, seeing game over.
Would it be down that one place, those men won't let me go down, at the work facility?

I'll have to go back to the shop, in town. Didn't know, there were any other shops?
