Magazine Confirms MGS4 For Xbox 360, Not PS3 Exclusive!

At the end of 2007, one of the biggest titles to be released for any of the current generation consoles is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. As the follow up to the blockbuster smash hit PS2 title Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, it will problably sell extremely well and be played by many PS3 fans. However, sole owners of Wii and Xbox 360 would have to do without it. Fortunately, Konami isn´t completely blind to the fact that more gamers deserve to play this epic title, and it is now confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the Xbox 360 will launch a year later in November 2008. It will come with new content additions including VR missions and other bonus gameplay like Snake Tales, which lets you go on more objective-based missions -- some quite lengthy. So, there's no question that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the Xbox 360 comes packed with more content than the original PS3-version.
Seemingly, the Xbox 360 Metal Gear would have been the one to wait for, but Konami respond by releasing the slightly beefed up Metal Gear Solid 4 for PS3 as well.

Once again being an Xbox 360 owner is proving to be a good thing. I'm often beginning to see very little reason to get a PS3. That and the fact that I won't have to go w/o DMC and now MGS. Life is good.

Yeah the reasons to buy one are slipping away fast and former exclusives are jumping ship left and right.

I had my doubts as soon as Metal Gear Substance appeared on the Gamecube.

Yeah i wouldnt mind waiting for the extra content, plus it saves me about £400 from buying a PS3 anytime soon

Good point. One title can make the difference in which console to buy if you don't already have one though and it seems like Sony won't have any while the 360 has several though I can't think of any

Makes me wonder what title Sony will rely on to boost sales of the PS3 now... while Microsoft has a great period coming up with Exclusive games like (Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock (PC too), and Halo Wars (PC too)) for example and also titles they are sharing with PS3 such as Assassins Creed, The Chronicles Of Riddick: Assault On Dark Athena, Devil May Cry 4, The Darkness, and GTA 4 and many more, where is Sony's offering of a blockbuster exclusive or summer title?

Even that has fell on its face, even with sales it is a joke as people are realising its nothing more than a novelty console that wears thin fast. It hasnt had a mainstream title for months and it actually made news on all the games sites that it 'might' have one 'soon'

Hmm, the sub-henchman has a point. Wii is good, but just not good enough yet. I highly doubt that this "mainstream" game is what it claims to be. I hope they can suprise me in the end.
