The Wii wont get much better, it was merely a gimmick console that was made to sell well... it did and now the the big companies will take it from there with 'Real' games.

With the long dev cycle of Next gen games, game companies might like the idea of making games that take less time to develop. Game companies are concerned with selling their games. If the Wii keeps selling, the games will keep coming out for it. That was the way Sony has so much success with the PS1 and 2. So I expect that you will be seeing the Wii for a while.

Christmas 2007 will be very telling indeed for all consoles. Will the PS2 still be around? Sony could do a world of good by closing that door and forcing people to step up to the PS3 if they want a Playstation. Microsoft got it right on that count.

Yeah but they are games that just seem to keep coming and just make use of the Wiimote and are basically the same formula that people are getting bored of and theres only so long you can wave that Wiimote at the screen on these novelty games before you crave a real game.

Imagine if KotOR III was on it. If I could use the Wiimote to weild a lightsaber that would be the BOMB!!! Swing a sword seems cool enough but a lightsaber

Now Imagine there is a custom Wiimote that Looks like a Lightsaber!!! That would worth standing in line to get.

Theres rumours of that with The Force Unleashed but to be honest with the technology thats going to be in that i dont see it running on the Wii.

+ rep the metal gear solid games rocked. I hope it will not hard to get used tot he controlls. Cause when i played the metal gear solid games i was useing a ps2.

What would you have brought them for in the long run? Zelda and.... the novelty bowling and sports games?

Zelda and Mario but like you said You can't really buy a console to play just one game. I'm loving the xbox 360 especially with XBL and Media Center. I just watched Aeon Flux that I downloaded from Market Place and played the Tomb Raider Demo. Earlier I watched a movie that I recorded with Media Center. I mean is there any reason to get a PS3? Not for me I can tell you.
