Re: Make your Hero
most of these ideas i find pretty cool but i wouldnt honestly get your hopes too high on this subject but it would definitley be something cool to add in. i would design a face as a child and then scars and damaging and broken bones would truly define and show that your character has actually been fighting and growing. What i would really like to do is die your armour or die your hair or of course choose the race of your character which would be really cool and they should add some extra special races for when you complete certain challenges or defeat certain bosses in the game. for instance a half human half dragon hybrid race. or a half balverine half troll race or dragon kraken and so on and so forth you get the idea but that is just some of my thoughts also they should really alow you to choose the height or at least add some randomization to it so that no matter how you level up you will be tall or you will be short that way each story and character will be uniQUE srry i went off subject there these are just some of my thoughts

And for your Starwars idea that is also very interesting. Might be more so if they added a birth feature so you actually can carry on the bloodline. But that I doubt will happen.
And now back on topic along with the customised faces and what not itd be nice to be able to choose Male or Female. There is actually a growing population of female gamers as i have read in a PC Gamer magazine (I wont bore any one with the details) and more games are turning less gender biased to supplement the change. Could be cool if Fable did so as well

Sorry for bumping but..
Yeah if you could die in this if you had a kid you could just be the kid then...

Re: Make your Hero
Peter Molyneux said the idea of having children and then playing those children when the Hero dies wouldn't be a good one. You would baisically have to quote "reproduce like bunnies" so you won't run out of "lives". The children would be "lives" like in a Mario game.
Total customization would make this series GOLD. Maybe Platnium. The "planting a seed and watching it grow into a tree" thing is being put into the game. It was one of the things originally planned to be in the first.

Re: Make your Hero
i think it would be cool, but you guy might not look how you wanted him to after a few years because of scars and stuff, like say you guy dosnt where his helmet and gets cut on the face, he would have a huge scar and might damage some of his features.
That would be cool. IT would be really realalistic.

Re: Make your Hero
First time post, long time lurker.
Along the lines of customizing your own hero, I think that Fable 2 should take a page from Rainbow Six: Vegas. They have taken customization to a different level. Using face recognition from a camera hooked up to the Xbox 360, you take a picture of your face from the front and the side. The game then uses the images to make a full model of your face which you can use in the game! I would love it if this feature starts making it into all kinds of Next-gen games.

An interesting idea i must admit, but with all the strangely animated faces (GFX style wise) of Fable dont you think a picture model of a face would look out of place?

Re: Make your Hero
Molyneux said in an interview that who you have a child with and what you look like at the time will affect how your children look. If they paid that kind of attention to detail to your children, I would imagine that there will be some sort of character custimization.
