Because Cortana Can hack into the HALO. Y'know the giant ring thing in outer space. Samus' suit is a small feat compared to that. And it's not Samus' Technology. Her suit was made by Chozo.

Yeah, And Samus and Master chief would never come in contact since they're in two differen't games, this is a theoretical discussion.

Samus without herr suit, by the way, would still kick ***. I'm sorry, but she's a bounty hunter. And by the way, who's one of the new characters for the Wii installment of the Smash Bro.'s game? Samus. Man...that's funny...she's not wearing her suit!

You know, I see what you mean. Cortana has her hacking techniques and all of that jazz. But I still can't agree that Master Chief could 'beat' Samus, if they even were int he position to do that. Both of them are dynamic characters, even though Samus in my opinion affected the video game community more, Master Chief is my 'Clint Eastwood' esque hero in Video Games.

Anyway, who do you think had the first crush on Cortana? ...Well, unless Tsuyu did first, but hey...a purpleish blue babe that has hacking technology...I dig that

Do you know the really funny part about this, though? When I was in eighth grade (13 years old) I went nuts and did the super crossover from hell. Samus, John-117, Santa Claus, everyone good I could think of; versus everyone bad I could think of. I had LOTS of fun coming up with hybrid technologies.

Seeing as I was thirteen, though, I didn't go into the whole Aran-117 family thing... but wouldn't it suck to be their kids? "Mommy, why is my last name a number?" (Okay, so John would probably take the name Keys or Mendez or Halsey or something if he had to; but still.)

I still gotta go with Samus, though. Much cooler, if less purely badass. (She also has fewer nukes, even if she does compensate for that deficiency.)

samus,has defeated thousands of alien cloaked freaks,giant bosses,such as the one in the chozo ruins,or on the space pirate frigate,because she can get health pack expansions,AND wep expansions,AND she has an electical beam that disables all machine-like functions on a person with just one charge blast!so cortana would be dead weight,AND she did all of her adventures BY HERSELF!not with some retared vehicle,no Ghost(my fave halo vehicle) no soldiers...so i'd say Samus.master cheif is good and all...but samus.could easily own him.Badly.she'd fry him so horribly they wouldn't even know it was master cheif.AND,not only would she own him,but i really doubt they would fall in love...she wasn't raised that way by the Chozo.(its pronounced cozo)
the thing that would make me the most happy,is if in one of the HALOS,she shows up on it because her visor detects life signs from space pirates.(yes it can do that) you'd have to play METROID to truly know how much she would own master cheif.

I have watched people play metroid, And Metroid Prime 3 Corruption. and I don't think she would "own" Master Cheif. The way Her shots fire, and such, I think Master Cheif would have plenty of openings. If you play Halo on LEGENDARY, you don't get no soldiers following you, they all die. Master Cheif has fought Equal amounts of Aliens, Cloaked Freaks, and giant Bosses. So..

And most of the vehicles (Aside from a one level in Halo 1) Are Optional, and you don't have to use them if you don't want. So I could, in truth, walk through the entire game.
