Member of the Month

I think having a member of the month could be a cool idea it could be just someone who the staff recognizes the past month for being a good member could be for anything just an all around good member of project ego and for winning Member of the Month or whatever you want to call it cause thats not catchy could have like a green name and for like the title where mine says champion could be Member of the Month or whatever you wanna call it

Its been spoken about before but we are always open to suggestions and ways to improve the forums. Might be an idea to look into depending on how many people wanted it and how we could organise it etc.

I'm just shooting spitballs you could narrow it down by like rep recieved into the top 3 and then have like 5 officials You, Projectego, Ange, FableFreak, and Tsuyul vote between the three

I wouldn't base it on rep, since anyone can give rep for whatever it seems unfair. It needs to be based on how active the member is, how helpful they have been, and what other (if any) contributions they have made to the site recently. You know, that old rap.

Based on how informative the posts are, valuable threads... etc. etc.

And grammar, yes you heard me right. In these times of IM-idiocracy we have to take care of and encourage the small portion of internet that still use proper grammar.

I like it. I think that there shouldn't be a set criteria for it, just what the staff think.

I think it would be good to recognize those that are being helpful but maybe not just one per month.

I think there should be a Good Member Badge. One they could have all the time.

Thanks Man and droded, for the compliments. I think it should be more of a new member thing than member of the month. It can be a way to encourage new members to become more active in the community, rather than sit back and watch what others say and do. If the moderators decide to go with a member of the month type thing, maybe set it so that the winner can only be "it" once a year, or AK's idea of several a month would be good.

unfortunately, i dont think i am making much of an impact despite my efforts...i guess being into halo in the pro community made me lose my touch

Yeah, I play a lot of Halo, too. You've just got to check in each day, to find something new.
