Out of kindness, I used put on my best behavior for such visitors. That they have their own absolute truths bothered the hell out of me and I couldn't tolerate them saying that they were trying to save me anymore, so I went the honest route and proceeded to be a bastard. Honesty is the best policy after all.

I am impatient, I have words to say to those I can't say them to and I don't want to die before saying them. Besides, I might actually forgive them before I die, better to be safe and say these things now.

Aye I can't stand it when those sort of people come around. Good thing is that they don't anymore. Jehovah's Witnesses used to come once a week, can't remember what I said to them it's been so long, but I remember the word "never" and some profanities here and there.

The whole talking to the dead bit was part of the celebrations. Erhm, it was... new. I kept pausing and saying "this is stupid" but started again anyway. As for whether or not it worked, I don't really know. I felt better, I suppose. Whether or not anyone was actually listening I couldn't say, but I decided it will be something I'll continue either way. I'm turning into a crap Agnostic.

Yesterday was calm in comparison to the days before. Fewer costumes but still a lot of face paint, something I reluctantly participated in this time. I was persuaded to talk with my father - he's dead so it was a very strange conversation for me. But the evening was pretty quiet for the most part. No drinking.

I don't think anyone ever rings my doorbell anymore. If it's someone I know, they let themselves in. Need to add a chain lock one of these days.....

Halloween in the states is generally the same thing, I'm just in the wrong part of the states. It's a Mexican Catholic region here, less trick-or-treating and mischief, more ceremonies involving a guy in a robe chanting in Latin, visiting the departed, wearing costumes and drinking to celebrate the dead... but the younger generation here just skips to the costumes and drinking. It was fun, I think, can't remember some parts of it all. And there's still tonight too.

On that note, how was Jacob's first Halloween? Hope it was fun.

I'm still recovering from a massive headache left from the Halloween party, gearing up for All Souls' Day tomorrow. When I moved here I thought a four day costume festival would be awesome, but I just don't have that kind of stamina anymore.
