I'll be buying a PS3 just to play Metal Gear Solid 4. How long would you say the single player story lasts? 10+ hours?

I`m pretty sure only the videos are 10 hours long
Plus, for anyone to comprehend all the massive info after completing the game would take a week.
Kojima is Sony`s trump card. To me, at least (well, Tekken 6 also)...

MGS is like a movie, I`ve never really played it myself, but have watched my friend complete the other 3 episodes... And, I never got bored.

Well, the game can be beaten in under 3hrs, depending on how fast you move, and if you skip the cut-scenes.

My friend has it though, and loves it. But if you're getting a PS3 just for Metal Gear, then I have to recommend you check out the rest of the PS3's catalog.. obviously MGS isn't the only good game on it.

I took around 15 hours to beat it I think, can't remember exactly. The whole game has such amazing graphics throughout that you can't tell when it shifts into a cutscene movie.

There are also many easter eggs and in-jokes included throughout.

Also, once your finished with the Storyline, you can try unlocking all the bonus features or you can play the Online version of Metal Gear - Haven't tried it myself yet but it looks good.
