I wouldnt mind a multiple disc option i mean its only a matter of eject and insert another and no-one complained when they had to do it for other games on PS2 and other consoles.

I agree (FFVII and so on), but I guess people expect that to be abolished with this next generation of consoles, which TBH is kinda silly ^__^ afterall if we can have better graphics, movies, sound etc...but just spread across a few extra discs...why shouldn't it be used eh?

This will be the last generation that would require it as we now have Blu Ray and bigger storage discs. Its quite surprising the data that can be compressed onto DVD discs still and only large amounts of Audio and FMV sequences trouble it. Thats why a lot of developers like to load things real time from the disc instead of preloaded FMV sequences as it saves storage space. However with the massive amount of pure FMV in MGS that makes it difficult to store on anything other than a disc with large capacity.

Metal Gear Solid 4 on the 360 would be a dream come true *starts thinking up Metal Gear Solid 4 achievements...* but I'm pretty sure that Kojima has confirmed many times that MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive. I could be wrong!

He's stated that it's been optimized for PS3. I'm inclined to believe that since PS3 has far greater processing and graphics capabilities than 360. I'm about to get jumped by fan boys over that last comment.

Before you guys do that I would like to point out that I only own a 360 and have no intentions of buying a PS3. I think the 360 is a great console and definately has the better community and quality of games. It's going to be a while before developers can properly harness the capabilities of the ps3 to its full extent, until then I'm perfectly happy with the 360.

I still dont understand where people get that idea from, have people not read and compared the spec sheets?

Just the Cell processing core in PS3 that needs to be tapped into, but hardly any companies ever seem to make use of it. 7 controllers can be linked to PS3 and its Blu Ray discs. PS3 has half the installed memory of the 360 but can process date faster, although theres been framerate issues in lots of PS3 games that are multiformat. Mainly down to developers not knowing how to work with the development tools of the PS3 as much and finding it more difficult to work with.

I have no idea what any of those things are but it looks like Xbox is better than PS3 in those ways.

First, admittedly I don't really understand all those specs nor do I really want to. But I do question them as when I've looked at comparisons before, the PS3 usually seemed to have the advantage. Don't jump on me. I just trust a lot of my close friends who really know their stuff and they say that the PS3 is a more powerful system.

I don't like it though, no desire for it or any other next gen system aside from the 360. And this is actually coming from a recent microsoft boycotter. I still boycott them computerwise and probably always will, except for in the tech lab at college and at work. But gaming wise, they have my loyalty and dedication forever. And the community is absolutely WONDERFUL

p.s. please don't jump on me, it's not like I'm stating that the PS3 is factually more powerful, it's just my opinion derived from informed friends. I'll accept that I'm wrong but, bottom line, it doesn't matter which is stronger, only which is better--the 360

I know I was mad when PS3 got Oblivion...

Plus, it's a great game, so we should get it anyway.

Not going to jump on you, the PS3 is looked at as the more power console but the specs are usually exaggerated. I was surprised when i saw the tech sheets myself to be honest. It does have hardware advantages in areas but not in as many as id have thought.

it's sounds like a go, there is new bout MGS4 on 360 nearly every day, microsoft are keen. Also the guy who made MGS 4 is now working for microsoft for future halo titles

Rumours are always there but that doesnt mean they are true, also why would Hideo Kojima be involved in Halo titles?
