That's happened to me ONCE before. I just stole all the stuff.
But usually he's standing on the OUTSIDE of his stand when I enter the arena.

Re: Money Question
Check List:
Are you selecting the Buy All option when purchasing the items?
Are the item prices highlighted in green when you purchase them?
Are you selling them almost instantly after buying them?
Are you selling them to the same shopkeeper?
To those who use this trick, its interesting to note that sometimes you can make even bigger profits by going to different shopkeepers depending on which items you are buying. Sometimes the 'Wanted Item' list can make you better profits from cheaper easier to procure items.
Edit: Incidentally, I also have the same kind of problem buying health potions in the guild when I first start the game so perhaps it may have something to do with the amount of items that are in stock.

Re: Money Question
^Going to differen't shopkeepers.
One of them (I think in twinblades camp) even SAYS that "You can make quite a profit by....between shopkeepers..so I've heard"...
I never do that trick though.
I have enough money anyway.

Its more for the benefit of those who havent been able to get the exploit to work really.
I know there is some character in the game who says about making money by trading between shop keepers, in fact I think it could be in the exp spending area... maybe...

Re: Money Question
Hey guys im curious how much money do you have i just did that trick where if you donate all your money to the Temple of Avo then press on the offering plate again and you still have your money and you keep donating, but when you are done doing that trick your money still goes away so i only have 50k right now.

Well I went through most of my accounts I have for TLC (PC version since my xbox has now officially packed in, RIP) and used the diamond trick and some other money making schemes so most of my accounts now have between 750, 000 and a million.
As for the Temple of Avo exploit, I am not quite sure what your talking about, could you explain it more in depth? The only Temple of Avo exploit I know of is using the hero save and it doesnt make you money, just gets you lots of good points and the possibility of making lots of cash from the weapon you get there if you can work it correctly. - Go to Temple when on a quest which takes you past there.
- Donate all your cash.
- Hero save.
- Reload.
- Do it all again.

Re: Money Question
I swear this didn't work on the xbox but I can't remember.
I did this in one of the shops in Oakvale. I started with about 3,000, bought all the perfume and immediately sold it. CHA-CHING!
With in no time I was turning over the shop keeper’s entire stock in a little over a minute and making about 25,000 each time.
I actually counted the number of clicks it took to do this 81 left (primary) and 6 right (secondary) clicks to complete. The things I made the most profit on were the Emeralds 8565 and the perfume 5292
At the end I bought all his stock and sold back just the wedding rings, then I "Returned to Game” and all of the items on the counters were wedding rings. So, I got him drunk and shoved him out of the shop and cleaned him out 10 rings for 9,000. The shop closed while he was wandering around drunk. Now I'm inside and each day the shop gets restocked and I steal it all again. Pretty boring way to get stuff except that I'm just letting it go while I read and write posts here.

Re: Money Question
Regarding buying and selling stock to the same shopkeep... if the number is green, it doesn't necessarily mean that particular shopkeep will buy it back for more, resulting in profit for you. The secondary number (the one in brackets), is the average selling price for that item across Albion. A green number indicates that you can sell that item *somewhere* in Albion for a profit. To find out what items you benefit from with each shopkeep, you have to try every item and remember them yourself. I personally (early in the game, anyway) prefer to go to the trader in Bowerstone South and buy out all his apples, apple pie, and (I think) cider crates (been awhile since I've done this). Then sleep until his next shipment, buy him out again, and continue on this path until you have a few hundred of each item. THEN sell them all back to him, and buy, sell, buy, sell, etc.
As for the Temple of Avo exploit...
There is a minor glitch in the game, where if you donate your money, then rapidly push your 'A' button, it selects the font again before they've had a chance to drain your money. You still get all the good points, and anything they want to give you (the title Paladin, youth, or the Sentinus), but don't lose your money! 1AK is right though, in that it doesn't always work. I highly recommend saving before trying it, and again between each attempt, if it DOES work.
And finally, how much money do I have? Well, I cheat alot of shopkeeps out of money, and I killed everyone in Oakvale.... I think I'm somewhere around 4.5 million....

Re: Money Question
For some reason I just can't make myself spend all the cash I have - took me a lot of stealing to earn it and I'm quite attached to the shinier things in life. Besides, I got 12 wives to keep happy in four different towns and anyone will know how tough that is...

Re: Money Question
12 wives in 4 towns? Is that possible? I was under the impression you were limited to one per town, since there's only one marital home in each....

Re: Money Question
A nice little glitch I've been having with my evil profile means that at the moment, I've been leading my wives out of town, killing them and then finding them alive again once I've gone back into the town - but they don't require a home. So I have a load of wives and only have to provide a house for my most recent ones. They still nag for gifts though...
Still, with my track record I'll get fed up with them and murder the lot with a devastating display of Infernal Wrath ...
