Haha! Thanks for posting this, DD mate. Somehow I knew even just by reading the title of this thread that Duke Nukem Forever would have been on the list.

I didn't know that Prey or Team Fortress suffered from delays, though.

To be honest though, I don't mind Prey having been delayed. I'm glad actually. I've seen some screen shots from the earlier version and pheee-eeeew. Glad it got released when it did.

According to Wikipedia, it was to "be developed in tandem with Duke Nukem Forever".

But it also goes along to tell how the original concept of Prey was going to use portals and gravity the way the 2006 Prey did. Seeing as it was almost ground breaking when the 2006 Prey was released, one can understand what a huge accomplishment such an game would have been back in '95.

They had tons of trouble getting it to work and in the end they gave up on it. The concept was just too much ahead of it's time.

Apparently, it's been postponed indefinitely for some reason and they've pretty much issued the statement that "it's done when it's done". That's kind of... vague.

Technically it couldnt yet as it hasnt been delayed as such as they havent even started making it. Only getting the project actually started has been delayed not actual release of it. LucasArts have been stalling while they worked on other projects as Bioware said long ago they would like to do a sequel. They just concentrated on their own seperate games first (Mass Effect).

Was first announced in 2006 i believe, that they had started production on it. They were working on it before that no doubt but that was around when they officially unveiled it.
