MS cracks down on Gamerscore cheaters

Does finishing Halo 3 Legendary with three camping mates count as cheating? If so our weekend might not turn out to be as productive as we thought...

so will this happen for just online or when youre playing offline as well?

Any cheats used offline that are built into the game disabled achievements and you cant unlock them with cheats turn on.

Let me understand this correctly before I go off and cheat - if I use, say, the Rainbow Six Las Vegas 2 glitch whereby enemies respawn endlessly at a safe location where you can just tape the trigger button down and go on holiday whilst your score skyrockets, then my gamerscore will be set to zero?

Or if I boost?

Cheating is the only way I can do anything in a game...

I think they mean the sort of things were you, lets say, use the save game glitch to gain all the achievements for a game without doing jack sh*t.

Yeah thats right and the type of cheating they are talking about, after all glitches arent cheats.

Unlocking achievements fairly is what makes any game worthwhile. It's obvious the cheats don't actually care for the as they just want a way to be noticed. Why else would they buy a game and then use cheats to get ahead.

But...
What's to stop them from creating a new account and racking up legit points on them?
