New Fable 2 Preview
There is a new preview of Fable 2:
Hooked Gamers - Fable 2 Preview
Go and check it out !
Although there is almost nothing new in that article I found one thing what I not knew before and that is...
Quote:
|
If you have slain a dragon that has been terrorizing the town, the people in the town will stop you on the street and acknowledge what you have done with a gift or nice gesture. This will overlap into other cities and give your hero a reputation. Same goes if you're evil - if you're bad in one place, other places will know of your evil doing.
|
Will those people in the town realy talk about your last enemy that you have slain and will they also give you a gift or nice gesture? Or is the previewer just giving examples ?

Re: New Fable 2 Preview
*Warning not everything is true in this preview*
Here a official word from Sam:
Quote:
Guys I just want to make clear to you all that these kind of articles bring forth a lot of misconceptions and that articles like this that you read should be taken with a pinch of salt.
The last thing I want to see happening is the media writing certain things about Fable 2 (I call it their poetic freedom) and then for that to be taken as fact, people expecting to see certain things in the game and when we never planned to do that in the first place, get blamed for 'breaking promises'.
So to cut a long story short, these are innacuracies in the article:- If you have slain a dragon that has been terrorizing the town, the people in the town will stop you on the street and acknowledge what you have done with a gift or nice gesture. We never said anything about there being dragons. If you played the original Fable and Fable: The Lost Chapters you know what the situation is with dragons in Albion.
- The child will eventually grow up and look and act similarly to what you are doing in the game. The child will never grow into an adult, but will stay as a child forever
- Another possibility is if you are fighting by a cliff or balcony: you can hit the ranged attack button and hit an enemy in his leg, making him lose his footing and, hopefully, causing him to plummet to his death That's not really accurate.
Now, don't expect me or anyone else on the dev team to answer each and every question on an ad-hoc basis. We have got a FAQ and several developer chats planned, media coverage will also increase as we get closer to release and all, answering most of everyone's questions.

That's interesting... if your children never grow up, then why do you eventually get old as dirt? Hmmm... maybe they'll rethink that one.

Yeah thats true but I like it when my kids are young. Because when they are too old then they are no fun anymore to watch and you will take care less for them in the game. Your adult son will take care of his own home and you will get the feeling that he is just one of those villagers and not your kid...
You will also take care less of them because they don't want to play with you anymore ( if that is possible in Fable 2 ) when they get old or it will look kinda fake when your full grown son gets so happy as a little child when you come back at home. So I realy hope they only grow till their teenage and not higher then that

Re: New Fable 2 Preview
Glad to see Sam sorting out all the inaccuracies of the articles before the game ships. He couldnt have said it any better in the following quote:
