New Weapons: Particle Swords

About:
This mod adds three melee weapons to the game.

Light Particle Sword & Dark Particle Sword do 220 damage, cannot be augmented, have blue/red effects, trails and hud icons.

The Master Particle Sword does 250 base damage and has four open augment slots has mostly white effects that are slightly larger, white trails and uses the epic quake hud icon because I couldn't find anything else that was really cool.

Spawn As:
OBJECT_PARTICLE_SWORD_GOO D
OBJECT_PARTICLE_SWORD_EVI L
OBJECT_PARTICLE_SWORD_MAS TER


Boring Stuff:
This mod uses an alternative method to attach effects to melee weapons, you can use multiple effects and the effects don't disappear when swinging nor do they duplicate with each swing - better appearance and no lag.
This mod also adds new effects. There weren't any cool lightsaber ripoffs already there. Except morerunes' Avo Will Torch/Skorm Will Torch available in GWAS. Truth is that I got the idea from morerunes' work.

Nice work! That looks pretty damn cool.

And yes, I read the "boring stuff" too. It was... Interesting, even though I didn't understand half of it.

You're too kind. The boring stuff was boring even for me, so I'll sum it up: This is a way of adding infinite different effects to weapons with none of the drawbacks or restrictions, and may serve as a way to add effects to clothing.

The rest of the mod is pretty simple, nothing special.

My sincerest apologies. Don't download this mod, don't install it. It's no good.
I forgot to take into account the names.bin edit. This mod requires that there be specific names in the names.bin in a specific place, and they won't be there. Oversight on my part, I'll remove the download and try to have a working version of it up as soon as I can.

I hate making mistakes.

I understood that perfectly well, and that looks quite interesting. Very impressed with how this looks.

I tried doing that with a wep of my own, I can't get anywhere close to that. Im using the Multi Strike Wisp Long 4 for the 1st two values on the Flame Aug, and im using The Multi Long 1 for the "Whoosh" values and the more I swing, more and more of the whoosh effects stack up on the sword until it looks like a dam lightsaber, doesnt slow down my FPS very much though thankfully. Do you kno any other swing effects that would look nice on a sword without piling up the more I swing?

I really enjoyed making this one, I can't say that enough, I learned two new tricks, and I was only going for just one, so I'm happy.

I broke this mod while "fixing" it, took a while to replace it. I've expanded on it to include a third piece. It is now available here. That's two (2) broken mods, it's been a rough week for me.

Also a big thanks to jwc2200 - I had lost the assets when replacing the mod, but he had a copy of the mod before I "fixed" it, and so was able to provide a copy of the assets. Turned a big job into a small one.

I think he means is it in the OBJECT entries after everything else.

Which would be no. It is in the OBJECT entries, but it will start with 1 and will have 5 digits instead of four. They end up near the top of the OBJECT list.
