New Xbox Live content excludes Silver subscribers

Lame Lame Lame Lame I seriously hope they drop this.

If I don't pay M$ money then I can't download a demo which is essentially advertising for the game. If they want to push more people toward Sony's PS3 which is entirely free this is a good move.

umm... what's the big deal?

it's only a few days... it's nice for Gold members to get perks, but a few days delay for some demos isn't going to psychologically damage anyone

Half their Customers are Silver members. If they want to give Gold members perks, Add something to our service don't take it away from Silver members.

... they haven't taken anything away...

it's only a delay of a few days... silver members aren't missing out on or being denied anything...

Prior to this they got the update they got the demos etc when it was ready to be released now MS is hold it back from silver members for a week. Why Not just give a price discount on downloads or add some free gamer pics.

because discounts don't make you more money and some gamerpics aren't enough to motivate the Silvers to upgrade to Gold...
constantly getting their demos a week late might though

Of course not. It's done to make them upgrade to Gold. Typical Microsoftian move.

Obviously this news wont effect me much but might bug others, however its a free service they shouldnt have any complaints with having to wait over paying customers.

Some of them can't afford to, and or don't even see the point in doing so.

At least now the Gold Membership upgrade is alittle more rewarding now, than before... before, having to pay some $50 just to play with a friend online was hardly enough alone to urge me to purchase an upgrade.

I used to have a Silver Membership until I upgraded so I could play with my friends on new games. I only get 1 month subscriptions so I don't feel very obligated to play online whenever I get the chance to get my money's worth. Anyways, I don't for see a problem unless it involves special deals where something is around or free for only like a few days or a week so the Silver folks never even get as good a deal as the Gold members.

Yeah thats something that had crossed my mind too, was it really worth the price just to have the option to play with others. Shame Silver Subscribers have to have something restricted for them for Gold Members to get a benefit but after all they arent paying anything.
