No dog in co op?

In GDC 08 PM and his mate joined co op into 1 of there worlds but I only remember seeing 1 dog! (no henchman dog maybe?)

Well, that's local co-op, so it might be different online. But I would definitely say you only have the first player's dog in that particular multiplayer mode.

i dont think there will be a second dog on coop im pretty sure PM said that the dog consumed alot of their frames and with a second dog it would slow the game down considerably and probably affect the graphics... you have to remeber just how complicated this game is what with every peice of grass being individually coded and such... im not quite positive what it all means but yeah im pretty sure on coop no second dog... there may be some other thing that lets you show your dogs off though... who knows

Think i remember them saying that the 2nd player was merely a henchmen and wasnt the Hero and only the Hero gets the dog.

Hmm, a second dog. Maybe only one is allowed because the character doesnt have time for puppies.

DD is right on the money. Only the Hero gets a dog, and since the second player is a Henchman and not a Hero, he gets no dog.

I think having too dogs running around would be distracting and annoying. It would make the game world feel too cluttered.

When i become a henchman, i want my dog by my side. It sounds like PM is putting much thought into this as a emotional and also unique experience. every1's dog will be there best mate, so i want mine with me two.

Being a Henchman is a occupation, a method to gain money. What if i don't want me or my mate being a henchman? we just want to connect both worlds and play around in it. Does initiating a co op game immediately force some1 to be the henchman?

2 dogs would be cool.

I agree, Fable isn`t a dog-army simulator.

Well thats all they have commented on so far so either way at the moment one of you would be the henchmen. Its also used to gain experience on top of gold.
