Re: No shiny new swords?
Some fun facts on katanas: The iron that was used to make katanas in Japan was a rather poor quality compared to European iron hence why katanas are often referred to having "folded steel" because it was the process used to strengthen the blade and hopefully remove impurities. Now adays with modernized iron, folded steel is really on used to signify symbolic quality.

Re: No shiny new swords?
Cool I didn't know that. I didn't really like the katanas in Fable because they where to fat and didn't really look like a katana at all. Well I guess the legendary katana did look right but on my huge character it looked like a little knife.

Depends in which terms you're using it, if you're saying bloody to define a scene of terrorism then no, it's not offensive.
But if we were to say "Bloody hell! Or, get out of my bloody car you little high-school dropout" then yes it would be considered swearing.

Re: No shiny new swords?
This is how I see the sword situation (someone on topic!?): I figure that the type of armor, weapons, and other gear would relate to by the region. In a place like Bowerstone it would be more common to see lighter swords, like rapiers, and possibly colonial-ish (or whatever era it is) style of armor. While if you venture into nomadic territory (id there is such), then you might see more crude and/or brutish equipment, such as claymores or battle axes. It all depends on where you go and how far, which could possibly add more to the need of adventuring. This is just a theory though, so don't quote me on it.

Re: No shiny new swords?
if i ever design a game im gonna make it so if you do some bogus random thing at the very begining of the game you will get a gun. like look straght up and turn left 74 degrees and then go to the brick wall behind you and press aaxxbbyxababbbbbaaaxxxxyy yyabababababyx on one very specific brick and then you will fall through the ground and be in total blackness and you have to stay there for and hour without moving and then you will return to the game and in another town on some house you have to make your way to the roof and shoot the forth brick from the right at the ground level of the house east of you. and then in the place where you started the game there will be a small chest, verry small, and inside is some sort of automatic gun that never runs out of amo.

Re: No shiny new swords?
Well, I was watching the new video and the hero had a giant cleaver on his back, so I think its fair to say we will get the same swords and more variety in fable 2.

Re: No shiny new swords?
Yeah,
Well, it's like super smash bros. for instance
every game they come out with they have the SAME old characters with some new ones added in.
And with Brawl, they did tthe same thing.
SO IT will probably be like that.
Oh, i'm evil
Can't wait to just go and blast away villagers with a gun!
