Ah, the early versions of Shakespeare's Era (1500s, I think right?). I do recognize what you mean now. Compared the lighter versions developed later on, which became known as smallswords, they were indeed heavy and not nearly as nimble.

EDIT:
My thoughts on swords in Fable 2: Personally I hope we see a return of all the older swords yet see a few newer versions/types such as rapiers, sabres, etc. with their own unique fighting styles, speed, damage, etc.

Yes thats exactly what I was talking about! I really have no idea what rapiers are like now. But you where right, I was rather childish, and I needed a lecture. So I guess we where both wrong. Oh well at least we got that straightened out!

Reread the comment he made that I quoted. At that point, there is absolutely no mention of the game, but instead his comments are directed at the weapon in general.
It is easy for you to say,"You are too easily insulted" when you are not the one being insulted. I have serious doubts that at in no point in your life have not been insulted by someone or something.

I shall leave it at that as my closing argument because my comments are detracting from the subject at hand at this point, and I fear a full-blown argument will break out if I continue to contribute.

I saw a video where it showed the stabbing of 2 people at once and it was so cool. Don't know how to place links, though. And where you can pin people up against a wall that was so totally awesome.

just for the record, when i said that rapiers suck i was refering only to the early versions of the 1500s. since fable2 is gonna take place 500 years later i figured that if rapiers where gonna be in the game that that would be the version of the rapier that would be in it. and those rapiers did suck! they where heavy and klunky and not nearly as nimble as the later versions. and i am not underestimating the power of stabing. i like stabing just as much as the next person. that is all.

Poor Griffin, I believe you, I think we'll all be amazed by the sword play in the new game.

Perhaps when you are a blacksmith you can fashion a sword that is much more nimble (Foils and Katanas perhaps?)

Not all Katana's are nimble they vary on what type of smithy made them and what metal is used and what type of kata was focused on for the sword and also the way it should cut.....

Hopefully you'll be able to have neat patterns on the blade and runes and stuff as well! or maybe when you augment it instead of that wierd glow in Fable 1 it changes a bit of the swords design depending on what augmentations you use so everyone will be able to find a unique enough design!!
