Yeah, it's real. The expo was more so just a show of all the new and old RPGs of the 360. Hell, they even demoed Oblivion IV and Mass Effect 1 there.

While the source may be reliable the "Official MS Press Release" included in the article did not say October 2008 or even mention the NA Release date.

Also in reading about the round up on many different sites I didn't anything more than the Fact that Fable 2 was shown and it would be released in Japan .

Chances are that the writer of the article took the date from one of the many place holder dates around the web.

In short it's legit when it comes from Lionhead or Microsoft or better yet both. Neither of which are posting a release date.

October sounds realistic for a release date. They have game content complete, there just fine tune'n and fix'n the bugs. that's 4 months to do that and ship the game out, i'm still waiting for E3 2008 release date but I predict an October release date aswell. In the mean time i get Ninja Gaiden 2 today.

They will most assuredly be right but Microsoft didn't say the release date was October as it's clearly not in the press release part of the page. I think the author just assumed it was the release date. I might be wrong but I would think that more sites would have picked it up if Microsoft themselves actually announced a date.

Everyday gets longer thanks to Fable 2.

Oh no, the dreaded red ring of death. Mines making a lot of noise, and freezing, every now and then. I just got mine back, 2 months ago. They really need to make them better. It won't be long to get it back though.
