Codemasters minion based title Overlord has been officially confirmed for release on Sonys PS3 console.

You play as supposedly the most evil being on the planet - who needs some little Gremlin-like dudes, called Minions, to help him out.
Clearly not a plot to be taken too seriously, command your Minions in gameplay uncannily similar to Nintendo's Pikmin games, with Minions in different colours each one with different weaknesses and abilities.
"Use the Minions tactically and they'll always be on hand, ready to sacrifice themselves just to save the Overlord's illustrious ****", says Codemasters.
"Summer" is as specific a release date as Codemasters offers at the moment. First exclusive PS3 screens are below.
I never got to play the full game but I thought the Overlord demo was pretty fun. I hope the PS3 version gets some bonus content considering PS3 owners have had to wait almost a year for Overlord to head their way.

I think the bonus content they are getting for having to wait is the downloadable content that they are getting on the blu-ray disc. Not sure though.

Such a great game. Now The Minions can distoy even more
