Peep Show VS Curb Your Enthusiasm

Two absolutely genius programmes. Both extremely witty and funny. I've been a loyal Peep Show fan for years, seen every episode, love every series. But at the same time I've seen every Curb episode to date and find it one of the funniest things on television. I used to prefer Peep Show. Being British, I felt proud to call Peep Show 'my own' in some weird, obsessive way. Yet, I'm now starting to find Curb more shocking but also more humourous. Larry David is just the epitome of disaster. Have any of you seen either of these shows? If you've seen both, which do you think is superior in terms of comedic value?

Mighty Boosh is too surreal. I don't even understand what parts I'm supposed to find funny.

I think I like peep show better. Curb is funny but that fat guy's wife who's always yelling annoys me. Sort of like hot lips in MASH.

Lots of the humour in Mighty Boosh comes from the music from a couple of decades back. If you're not interested in that sort of music (read:good music), you probably won't get it.

Peep Show makes me cry from laughing so much. It's genius.

I like the Mighty Boosh. Some episodes are hilarious, for example, the Future Sailors episode.

I've never seen any of those shows. I've heard of The Mighty Boosh though.

I haven't actually seen Curb Your Enthusiasm yet but I've heard that it's absolutely brilliant. I am, however, a big fan of Peep Show and so is the missus. We've got all five series so far and Sharon's asked for series six for Christmas. I'm really hoping that we'll get to find out who the...

Dammit! Seems like I'm the only one who doesn't know who the father to Sophie's is. So it's definitely revealed who the dad is in series 6? I'd hate to be strung along until series 7 to find out! I don't want to have who it is spoiled for me, though! I'd rather find out when the DVD arrives.

Yes it was revealed. I won't spoil it for you. All I will say is that it was the best series yet. Definitely worth buying on DVD.
