Physically alter your character?

I am unsure if this topic has been discussed before, but I figured it is a good idea nonetheless.

I always figured that Fable would be the kind of game where customization is practically within its blood. As such, I was rather disappointed when I could not even adjust the eye color of my character, let alone alter the facial features.


Will we be able to alter the physical traits of our characters in Fable 2? I for one, would LOVE to at least have a character that looks somewhat like myself.

I actually like the lack of customization, because every time I play I love the "hero" more and more.
and I think the lack of eye customization had to do with the fact that when you're neutral you have brown eyes..or blue? and when you're good they're bright blue and when you're evil..mm red.

Well, customization is key to a next-generation RPG, right next to free-roaming, in-depth storylines, and seamless animations. For me at least, I always want customization. Then you can get certain sites online where you can show what you're character looks like, and how much time you spent on him/her.

However, I find it worse when a company doesn't put in sliders, rather a pre-set face, such as the next character creator in Madden 07 on the Xbox 360. I looked forward to sliders and making a very intricate character, only to find about 12 preset faces.

For Fable 2, customization should be something Lionhead focuses and perfects.

I read somewhere that there will be simple custimization and extreme cutimazation somewhere else. Its untelling what molyneux has up his sleve.but we do know its a huge sleve.

I believe that customization would be cool down to all specifics, even weight. The light characters would be nimble and swift and the large lumbering ones could do some serious damage in combat.

Molyneux did say that he was going to put physics into the game depending on weight and size of character. he also metion surronding physics. Hmmm....... interesting.

Physics would be pretty amazing in the Fable world. There would be the bad side to having an unbalanced weight though (extremely thin or muscular), as the thin assassins would be easier to knock over and couldn't stand their ground as much in the face of a larger opponent, and the massive warriors would have difficulties with jumping (If it's included that is...) and stealth skills. I myself think it'd be cool to have a shadowy assassin lurking in the alleyways of a city, so lightweight he could walk nearly undetected and escape any foe... That's just me.
