Re: Projectego.net Newsletter

We have sent one out before as a tester but not a common one every month with all new updates in it system didnt work flawlessly though. Might be something to look into in future though if we could get it to work maybe, intriguing indeed.

Re: Projectego.net Newsletter

Yeah, we sent out a mass email to all those who hadn't been online for ages to let them know what was happening and what they were missing out on but it seemed as though half of them didn't receive it. There are a few bugs in the system and not everyone wants to get a newsletter, so we have to take into account all those people who opt to not receive emails from the site.

But if we can iron stuff out and work through it so that it operates properly, then I think that would be a very good idea. +rep

Re: Projectego.net Newsletter

Good idea, ctj. Sadly, it was tested a few months back and despite all the different configurations, general vBulletin tinkering and support tickets to my host, nothing seemed to work as it should. For some reason, the only people who received the newsletters that were despatched were me, Andy, Sharon and a handful of others. Why? I have no idea.

It's definitely something to look into again, though, I don't think we've actually tried sending out a newsletter since upgrading to a new dedicated server.
