Publishing Books
I'm still writing a book, but when I get done, how do I suppose to publish it? ( I think was a good idea to post it here on the forums because most of you guys are smart adults )

Re: Publishing Books
Best thing to do is contact publishers and send them a copy of your work - proof read it first to make sure the grammar and spelling are up to scratch and then develop a thick skin because even J K Rowling was knocked back quite a few times before Bloomsbury took Harry Potter on...
Most publishers won't even get to read your manuscript for a long time and if they do, it's the first couple of pages and then they reject you. Make it unique and different and perhaps you'll grab their attention enough for them to sit up and notice.
Keep trying though - no matter how many knockbacks you get. And implement any constructive criticism they give you because it may help you win another publisher over.

Re: Publishing Books
Well... This is a rough draft. I'm also have a lay-out that's going to happen. It is call,"Graffiti War". Not based on me, but I took the things I know graffiti and started making it to a book. I also am thinking about starting another one... based on Final Fantasy 7. Anyways, "Graffiti War" is about a boy who everyone thinks he brunet down his own house, but he didn't. He is being frame... And he is trying to figure out who did it. It's hard to explain... but I'm still writing the rough draft on paper, then when I'm done, I'm going to ask people if they like it or not. Then if it's good, I'm doing it on computer. Then comes the publishing and then MONEY!!!!

Re: Publishing Books
If you're going to make a story based on something that already exists, check you won't be infringing on any copyrights - it's one thing to be inspired by FF but quite another to write a story about FF - even basing a story on the characters or story might be copyright infringement too.

yea. It was going to have something to do with Zack and Cloud and Tifa. Those were going to be a key that sorta feel in somethings in Final Fantasy 7. I wasn't come out and say it like," These are the people from the FF7 game". I was going to be smooth...like this," As I come around the corner, I saw a spiky headed man with blond hair. He had a HUGE sword. He must be a poser. He went in a bar called,' Seventh Haven'" and things like that.
