Been playing the first Rainbow Six Vegas with Steve again today, and remembered what a good game it was. Well the first details of its highly awaited sequel have just been announced.

That's what Ubisoft has told us in first details on the sequel, adding that the game "will push the top-selling franchise to new heights with new gameplay features and groundbreaking co-op and multiplayer modes."
Sin City itself has been expanded for Vegas 2, as has the weapon roster available to players with 11 new guns to splatter terrorists with. Team Rainbow's gone shopping in the high street too and bought itself new camouflage, clothing and gear "for the ultimate customizations".
On the multiplayer side, one of the biggest new features is the addition of 'jump in' to co-op. What this means, if you haven't already guessed, is that your mate can jump into your single-player game at any moment and turn it into co-op.
"The single player maps and storyline were created with co-op in mind, meaning every map has multiple entry points and the story is unaffected", Ubisoft explains.
13 new multiplayer maps, two new adversarial modes and an improved matchmaking system are also included.
On top of that lot, Ubisoft is promising the enemy AI in Vegas 2 is significantly improved, and terrorists have new toys to play with too - thermal vision, night vision, and shields.

Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in March 2008.
Very, very cool. Nice find mate. Rainbow Six 2 is going to be awesome. I really enjoyed playing the original Rainbow Six: Vegas with you earlier by the way. Shame we got railed on that second Casino map though... those terrorists that absail down from the roof were pretty tough customers.

Yeah trying to block bullets with ones face isnt really the best tactic but it was worth a try.
Been ages since i played it and was good fun, forgot how good of a co-op game it is.
Havn't had the chance yo play Rainbow Six Vegas yet unfortunately... The follow up is looking nice.

Id played quite a lot before this, including the classic Rogue Spear and have to say Vegas is a really good game. Hope that the sequel surpasses it and would love to see the 4 player co-op fleshed out.
