Social groups are there for your use or not, depending on whether you can be bothered to keep up with them. I personally have a nasty habit of joining and then never visiting them again, purely because I forget all about them. They are under the same rules as the main forum, so you won't get any groups which are rule-breakers. Anyone found to be behaving in such a way is suitably punished, so if you want to go and join one of the social groups feel free but equally don't worry about it if you'd rather stick to the main boards.
