Recommend Xbox 360 Games?

Hey. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any decent 360 games that are out now, especially for Xbox live play. I like shoot'em ups and rpgs mainly. Strategy too.

I'm hoping for some Christmas goodies

I was thinking Halo 3 definately as my mum will probably get me two games, but the other one... I played a demo of Bioshock, and it was interesting, to say the least. Not really my thing though. From the trailers I've seen of Mass Effect, I don't think it really looks that good. DON'T HURT ME! I'll have to get a demo though, to be sure. I've watched my dad play fear on the computer and it looks very repeptetive. I was thinking Crysis, but again, we have that on the computer, along with CoD 4. I've never heard of Clives Barkers Jericho, and I don't know ANYthing about Half Life 2.

Mass Effect is absolutely beautiful... I don't know what you've seen, but if it didn't look good it wasn't Mass Effect
and Clive Barker's Jericho is ****ing awesome... Clive Barker is the guy who made Cabal and Hellraiser and Candyman and ****... you're taking down God's firstborn

You mean Sandy Claws will probably get you two, but only if you've been very bad!

Mass Effect is awesome, a must have for any RPG fan.

Half Life 2 is also awesome and The Orange Box is the best games deal ever made with 5 amazing games in one pack. Also Gears Of War is an old one by the rest of those games but also very good indeed.

If you don't have it already (and why not?!) I highly suggest Oblivion. It'll give you a truckload of fun and medieval randomness to last the year through, but it doesn't exactly appeal to everyones' specific tastes. It's still a pretty damn good game, and I suggest you look into it. If you like Fable, perhaps you'll like Oblivion.

Visually it is lacking compared to some other RPG's...but it has a lot of depth you probably won't find elsewhere. Might not be the best game for Christmas though as you will spend your entire day in a foul mood because you won't be allowed to play it

But get it and make sure you have the time to play it

Oblivion is good too - a nice RPG which isn't overly complex but there's plenty to do with all the different side-quests available and the plot twists within each of those...but there isn't any online play.

For a decent RTS, if that's your thing at all, Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars isn't new but worth paying out for...it has an add on coming out soon called Kane's Wrath I think...

I would have suggested Oblivion but presumed he would have already played it, thought i remembered him saying he had somewhere.

Oh, and I know Hex already said it, but HALO 3! Since you said you like shoot'em ups, try playing this treasure among first person shooters... to say the least. You won't regret it...

These are a few Xbox 360 games I would recommend:

Halo 3.
Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars.
Mass Effect - no Xbox Live multiplayer but you'll definitely get your money's worth as it takes a good 20+ hours to finish the main story; apparently 40+ hours if you decide to complete all the sidequests, too.
Gears of War
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - also no multiplayer but it'll take a lifetime to complete 100%. Angel alone has clocked up around 200 or so hours so far.
Half-Life 2: The Orange Box - the online game included, Team Fortress 2, is pretty cool.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas - best single player FPS experience I've ever had anyway. Great online, too.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold Edition.
Assassin's Creed - no online but awesome single player and story.

Most of 'em feature online gameplay via Xbox Live and you're more than welcome to join me for a game on them, too.

Yeah, I've got Oblivion GotY (Awesome game), and Gears of War, which I thought was okay...

And I've only seen that one Mass Effect trailer, so I need to do some more research. But now, I'm off to play Crysis
