Simple Poll:
Have you had to send your

to Microsoft or otherwise get it repaired do to the Red Ring of Death?

I keep hearing about it but I don't know anyone who has had this problem?

If so what was you experience with Microsoft? If not have you had any close calls? Have you had any other customer support experiences with Microsoft?

Had my Xbox 360 for quite a while now and had no trouble with it really and hasnt had to be repaired despite me knocking it over a few times.

I've got the Ring twice now but have never had to send it in for repairs...

Was the console really hot at the time or was it just random?

one time was cause I left it on all night long by accident and one time was just out of nowhere when I turned it on...
neither time was it hot when I got to it...

Currently nothing. Mine is a little noisey, and runs hotter than most my friends, It also Freezes on occasion. Usually in the middle of KotOR I & II, Fable and Republic Comando, and True Crime Streets of LA. My Fave Games.

Only game mine froze on was Gears Of War every now and again.

New forum member.... I had to sign up to tell you about my experiences and also first hand experiences I have had with other 360's.

I had my 360 for 14 months and then while playing Test Drive Unlimited I started getting problems. For a few days it would crash after about 2-3 minutes of play and then I got the ring of death constantly. No problems with the power pack but as soon as you turned it on the 2 red light were on.

I phoned Microsoft and while the machine was just out of warranty they said they would repair it free of charge (how nice of them).

The same happened to my best friend but his was a little older at 15 months and Mircosoft refused to repair it free, he managed to swap it. I also know somebody else who has had to send 2 back so is now on his third 360.

When I got my machine back it crashed again within an hour (not ring of death) but by that point I had had enough.

Feel free to believe me or not but I can provide evidence.
