I don't have a religion....When a child is born his/her parents choose its religion(mostly)(happened to me)(I'm named in a church)(I was a christian before) .I don't think that's fair at all ... My opinion is that religions are a waste of time(all of them).And there are many fanatics in this world(from all kinds of religions)...

Um... duh. Your parents go to a church, why wouldn't they take you? How is it unfair that parents try to raise their children in their culture/religion/etc? What, should we let infants choose their religion. Alright, little baby, grab the cross. No, no, the crescent! No, the wheel! No, the star of David! No, the Greek orthodox cross! No, the big "no symbol over the letter "G!" Great idea... Hey, why don't we do the same with language? Never talk around your kid, just play tapes of people talking in lots of different languages and wait for them to learn one! We can do the same with names, eating, walking, and all that fun stuff.

But yeah, I'm an antagonostic Christian. A Christian who thinks God's an asshole. Which really means I'm probably not really a Christian. But the funniest part is that I got to a Baptist church, yet my parents were raised Methodist and Catholic, respectively.

Used to be Christian, but stopped following in the belief of "God' and the "Devil" when i was 15. Now I don't follow any religion.

My uncle still acts like a fool, telling me i need to get my head into the bible and all that ****... I honestly couldn't give a damn.

Just to clarify we do not worship "the devil" as that is actually a "sub-Christian" thing, as one is basically choosing to side with "the bad guy" of Christianity.

My beliefs are quasi-christian, i guess. i believe in Hell, and that there may or may not be a God/Devil (it's entirely up 2 him/her), but my view of hell is just a midpoint between reincarnations, so it's nothing like christianity really is it? hmm.

I think when a child is born it should choose it's religion...,,The child is borned,let's choose its life(Religion,Language,Sc hool,Everything...)''.I just think that being a slave(your parents choose almost everything for you) is bad...That's why I don't follow a religion...Bacause I think worshiping an idol won't help me for anything.

[Scratches head] Um... I don't know what the hell else you're going to do. Any kid is shaped by their environment. No matter what said environment is, it shapes them. For most people, the shaping is largely performed by family; unless they lack one.

And, obviously, your parents don't choose everything for you. Which explains why my family has such oddities as an extremely liberal kid; a kid half of whom's opinions are insanely conservative and the other half insanely liberal; and one kid whose political views seem to be pretty nonexistent; all in one family and from the same upbringing. Or, in your case, why you're an atheist when your parents aren't. Though to me it does sound like you're just an athesist because your parents aren't and hence they ARE dictating your religion.

Bull****. People can find billions of reasons to hate, many completely unrelated to religion. We can also fight wars over everything from trade, to politics, to ecology, to simple "I want your land," to lust for power, to "my monarch of choice has really bad heartburn today, so we'll invade our neighbors."

I doubt that even half of the "religous wars" fought over the years have actually been fought over religion.

Man ive been waiting for this for a long time Ive a theory that baffled my RE teacher .
supposedly Adam and eve ate a fruit and were banished from the garden of eden, its not portrayed in the bible as symbolic so every time we eat fruit god hates us even more so? maybe. So vegetarians be warned you've evoked the fruit lover.
Jesus was killed on the cross, to save our sins? When he resurrected, our sins also were brought back as a barrier to god? Also if he loves us why did he make sin, temptation, lust and all that forbidden stuff in the first place? A test perhaps, I think not, either the devil took over as he couldn't be bothered to finish us off (no pun intended) and gave us the sin that parts us from god perhaps.
Furthermore, Adam and eve were banished and infuriated god, yes, but in some parts of the bible it states god can hold a grudge forever, so why did he send his son to save us from our sins? But we see rainbows still (flood warning...kind off) which are saying he wants to kill us but he made a promise not to...doesn't add up huh.

My theory religion was a hoax made my the church of england or some other church to keep people in line, like your good you go to heaven, bad to hell, think about it, its perfect control, a "Be good or else!" sort of thing.
