And just because Avo and Skorm don't exist doesn't mean other gods won't. They could introduce a whole new type of God in fable two. The Watcher of Albion, the Almighty God of Albion. I dunno.

they seemed powerful enough in Fable to me
they had enough power to take years off your life, torture people to death, and give powerful weapons... that's more than any god's ever done for me...
