I just don't think it's necessary. I bet it'd get a lot of SPAM.

plus, I can contact anyone pretty easy without a "shout box" but by all means, wait for more opinions

I think it sounds a little unessacary. We have fine communication already and what would be the point for unregistered users to post. Just my opinion though, I think something like a teamspeak line but for the forums would be cool.

I was debating on whether or not to add a shoutbox recently, however some of the ones on offer which integrate with our forum software seem to be extremely resource intensive and could potentially take up a lot of disk space. So basically, unless I can find one that is a little less demanding, it isn't really an option at the moment. I personally would like to have one implemented though.

I will have to join in on the band wagon. The point has already been made. I don’t believe we need a Shoutbox.
