Small Problem And Solution For Gears Of War (PC)
Microsoft have recently pointed out a minor issue with Gears Of War on the PC. Apparently the very first time you play Gears of War, an automatic update for Games for Windows Live is downloaded. However rather than the game being shut down to complete the update which is what should happen, instead after the update is downloaded your put back into the games main menu.
Microsoft explained how to get around this:

The easiest is to simply shut down the game after the update is downloaded (you'll know it's safe because you'll be back at the main menu, and not on the "Don't shut down your PC while the update is being downloaded" screen). As soon as you close the game, the update will install automatically and you're good to go.
