Sony Brushes Off Lair Critics

The high-profile PlayStation 3 game Lair is falling flat with most critics, but Sony tells Next-Gen that it’s the consumers that matter, not the critics.The dragon-riding action game Lair from Factor 5 is one of the highest profile games for PS3 this holiday season, flanked by titles including Ratchet and Clank Future, Heavenly Sword and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

But since its release this week, Lair is averaging a rather abysmal review average of 57, with critics knocking the at times beautiful game for technical glitches and poor gameplay and control.

Well it might just sell because there is very little else for the PS3. I saw this as part of a one two punch along with Heavenly Sword that would be part of a must buy the PS3 Christmas for some. If Sony's not right

Most those reviews are awful and ive never held to much hope for this title being a high profile one. Seems that other people have the same attitude after seeing these reviews, thats an apparent Sony big seller slapped in face right there. I know reviews dont always make it a bad game but they are usually a guideline to bad points and technical issues are not a matter of opinion they are there for everyone.

Yes the consumers will buy it nontheless, Sony is right. Because the PS3 aint got Mass Effect or Assassin's Creed, to mention a few so they will have to settle with this.

Sometimes I imagine PS3 owners as rats, who scurry around The Big Table of Gaming instantly throwing themselves at whatever drops down their way because otherwise they'd starve.

Sad but true.
