Why waste money and development time on yet ANOTHER PS2 remake and bundle? Its still selling well but this wont make it sell any more than usual. They could throw the Singstar bundle in for Xmas with a regular PS2 and sell the same without the irony of it looking like a Nintendo Wii.

Yeah, that's very true. Sony can't hang onto the PS2 forever, even though it is buying them more time for the PS3. They should be putting more of their investments into helping the PS3 alot more, rather than trying to extend the life of a system that should've died a long time ago with the Gamecube & Xbox.

Also with not many real PS3 blockbusters out before Xmas they will need something to make up the xmas sales. As Xbox 360 with Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, & Assassins Creed for starters will be a great Xmas buy. The Wii will obviously be a popular family choice and sell well but the PS3 at its price tag and lack of truly outstanding titles as of yet wont generate to much cash for them alone. Also they get profits from PS2's but lose cash on every PS3 sale so this could be a counter balance measure.
