Spore Expansion On Way Already

Seems EA are going to do the same to Spore as they did to The Sims.

Damn E.A. Damn them all to hell. What they are doing is taking content cut from the original game and cashing in by selling it as an expansion.

Quite frankly - f*** you, E.A. I wish Spore had any other publisher, no matter who, as long as it wasn't E.A.

I'm sorry, but I dont really get what's so great about SPORE.
It kinda bores me.
I mean, after making a creature for the first time and making it dance or w/e..
I just couldn't get into it.
I mean, what do you do after you make one?

Doesn't look like it. The game doesn't end with clicking the "Dance" icon on the Creature Creator. There's tons to it.... eventhough they cut most of the content out...

Er-- it sounds like you might have just downloaded the creature creator and not gotten the actual game? Because, although I haven't gotten the game yet, what you describe sounds just like the creature creator (the free downloadable version, which I do have) and very little like the full game, from what I've heard.

And I'm still looking forward to the game. Not so sure about the expansions.

Weeel, you could go search for a review yourself, but I am reasonably sure that:

Cell stage: Swim around eating other cells.

Creature stage: Run around eating other creatures.

Tribe Stage: Run around killing other tribes.

Civilization stage: Run around conquering other cities.

Space stage: Fly around space conquering, terraforming, warring, etc,

But that is a very rough outline. At each stage you create different things. Cell stage you augment your microbial creature; creature stage you evolve your legs and arms and such; tribe you... I'm not sure; civilization you create vehicles; space you create spacecraft.

But again, I don't have the actual game, so I don't know for sure.

I'd rather they release a soundtrack of the game.

But this is to be expected from a company like EA, they gimp the original game.. and release the removed content as an Expansion Pack. They even admitted it for The Sims 3, the game will intentionally have things left out.. for the purpose of teasing consumers with their money.

Regardless, EA isn't sitting pretty right now with Spore being the most pirated game in history, and them losing millions of dollars. Serves them right with that ridiculous DRM.
