The just released January issue of the PC Gamer magazine had a list of Top 8 games of 2008, with Spore as #1, along with a preview.

This game still intrigues me, very interesting concept i must say and one i have been keeping a close eye on for a while. +rep for the find.

I cannot wait to play this! The first creature i will try to make is man. Yes, humans... and see if I can succeed with it.

The space ship looks kind of overpowered to me, though... blowing up a planet in one shot is just... boring?

It's updates like this that makes me want to choke people when they tell me "Spore is obviously vaporware"
