Star Wars Battlefront III Rumours....

Playstation World UK had quite a bombshell feature included in its pages this month it seems judging by reports over over the net about Star Wars Battlefront III. They have apparently been told that the next installment in the popular Battlefront series will NOT be developed by 'Pandemic Studios' but by Free Radical of GoldenEye and Timesplitters fame.

LucasArts havent made official announcement however so it still seems this is just rumour at the moment. Also knowing how LucasArts are the 360 exclusivity wont last to long and wont be long before other consoles are mentioned.

Battlefront confused the crap out of me. I tried to play it once, but my gun ran out of amo and I didn't know how to pick up more. Plus it was crazies...CRAZIES

Justin's Brother on the other hand will be happy to hear..the rumours anyway

Well i was a massive Battlefield series fan (Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 2, & Battlefield 2142) and im a Star Wars fan so should have liked Battlefront 1 & 2 as it was same concept as Battlefield series but Star Wars.I had them both and i was extremley disappointed in them both. First one was alright and i played it now and again but second was just more of the same and i got bored REAL fast so if this ends up true it will be interesting to see if Free Radical can do a better job.

Battlefront 2 was really weird.. i didnt know where to go and what to do.. the only thing fun was being yoda!

Battlefront was pure crap in my opinion - Battlefront II is one of my favourite games. It is so easy to just throw yourself into an immense battle (I love the Hoth battlefield - now I can make the Empire win,unlike in the movie!) which gives it huge replay value.

While it isn't the most advanced or realistic game, it is simple enough to just fire away at those times when you need to feel the "force" and is sick and tired of kicking nazi buttocks in most other FPS:es I play.

The first one felt more like a mod for Battlefield 1942 than a proper game... actually the mod for Battlefield 1942 was probably better as it had better collision detection and vehicles.

I just hope that they dont make it as fast paced as Timesplitters if this rumour is true as game needs a good slow pace to it as it shouldnt just be a run and gun game, those familiar with the Battlefield series will know what i mean.

The Empire did win at Hoth.

I did love Battlefront but it's single player was shocking and it was very samey. I'm sure they'll do a better job of 3 though and hopefully they'll bring Star Wars into next-gen in a fine style.

I mean "total" victory - killing the heroes and all that. Been a while since I watched that movie, but as I recall the heroes just barely make it off the surface of Hoth.

In Battlefront II you can practically end the whole thing on Hoth...

Yeah Battlefront was alot like Battlefield in that area, both designed for online only really and Single player was just sort of 'stuck' on. Hope next line of Star Wars games do the name justice as there have been some pretty bad ones and obviously some damn good ones but more bad than good.
