i cant get in gate to temple of shadows i followed the path of the light and finished the game i just need the gargoyle in there

Well then your in a bit of a pickle, being that in order to acsess the Temple of Shadows, you must first join them by eating five crunchy chicks before the ten year journey to the Spire.

As for my question, If you do not do either of the temple quests, is it possible to own both the Temple of Shadows and the Temple of Light? Also, what happens if you do not do either of the temple quests?

If you do not do either of the Temple quests,

Warning, this is a spoiler!

BOTH of the temples will be decrepit....The Temple-O-Light will be broken and abandoned, whereas the Temple-O-Shadows will be full of Hollow-Men and a Banshee.

No matter what you do in the game, the Temple-O-Shadows' gate will open after you get back from teh Spire, I believe...If not, it DEFINITELY will be open once the game is beaten.

Also, it isn't possible, to my knowledge, to own both of the Temples...There are two quests you have the option of doing(before teh Spire)...The Temple you eventually have the option of owning depends on which of the two quests you choose...If you do neither, you can get NO temple...You can never have both.

The Temple Of Light looks amazing all of a sudden in my game.
It looks exactly like somewhere else - I'm sure it's in one of the Knothole Island weather quests...
Is that because I began donating to the light?

you needed to save the light. it was a quest before you left the spire. the shadow worshipers poisoned the water in the cave and now everything in oakfield just looks dreary, the temple is ruined, and the oak tree is gonzo

try and go to the temple of light when it is in ruins in the night time, and there will be hollow men every where
